We would like to thank Tenzin Palmo for her generous contribution of $2,700. Palmo sent the money directly to the school. The money was used to buy clothes for the children. She also sent clothes to the children recently.

Many thanks to another donor, Sonam Dolma, for her contribution of $200, which was used to purchase bags for the children. Sonam Dolma is also a board member of Ex-Mussoorie Alumni Association.

We encourage more donors to come forward and contribute to this worthy cause. Donations can be sent through us or directly to the school.

There are 5 – 10 children that are in need of sponsorship. Our own Pasang, Ex-Mussoorie’s board member and Sherapla, the owner of Shangrila Restaurant, are sponsoring two children. We thank them for their generosity.

We are currently seeking sponsors for the remaining children. Prospective donors can contact us for sponsorship details. We will send the children’s information to them. Donors can then contact the children directly through Gen Pemla.

Many thanks to outgoing board members Dhundup Tsomo (Public Relation Officer) and Tsering Chokey (Communication Officer) for the unselfish service they provided to the Ex-Mussoorie Association for the year 2009.

Finally, we would like to thank Gen Pemla for initiating contact with us, seeking sponsorship and contributing his time and effort for the sake of the children.

2009 was a good year for Ex-Mussoorie, with the successful party, donations and continued support from all members. We hope to organize more fundraisers and sponsorship drives in the coming year.
